Gas saving tips

1. Drive Slower-Every 5 mph you drive over 60 costs you an extra 24 cents per gallon.

2. Fill up mid week-Gas up on Wednesday, or first thing Thursday. Prices are raised on Thursdays in anticipation of weekend travel.

3. Pick a cheap route-Websites like GasBuddy.com and some GPS devices also help. Apps from AAA, GasBuddy and CheapGas can guide you to the cheapest options on your route

4. Check tire pressure-If your tires are over or under inflated it can reduce the efficiency of your vehicle, and cause you gas mileage to be less then what it would normally.

5. Lighten the load-Extra weight can use up more gas. Try emptying your car of excess weight.

6.  Use cruise control-It keeps your speed constant so you wont have to accelerate and use more gas.
7. Use gas rewards programs-Many grocery stores offer discounts on gas with a store card. The more you shop at the store the more you save.

Try these tips and let us know how much you save! At Fred Haas Toyota Country we care about your car and saving money!

Thanks for choosing Fred Haas Toyota Country.
